Camp Walking Festival
Camp Historical Walking Weekend is a programme of local walks and climbs in the Camp area of Corca Dhuibhne in the spectacular Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry, Ireland. The weekend is aimed at promoting walking as a wonderful resource for both the visiting tourist and native walking enthusiast. All walks combine hill and sea with exquisite views across Tralee Bay, The Maharee Islands and Brandon Bay. The area is steeped in history with many historical and archaeological sites along the way including links in and out of the Tralee/Dingle Railway line 1893-1953, stories of which are still deep in the lore of Camp folkhistory. Leaders with local knowledge will lead the walks which are both easy and hard to suit all interests.
